Movers Wake County, NC
Moving Company Serving Wake County, NC
Wake County isn’t one place. It’s a dozen towns that happen to share a county line. Wake Forest and Rolesville sit up north. Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Holly Springs, and Fuquay-Varina spread out to the west and south. Garner, Knightdale, Wendell, and Zebulon fill in the east. And Raleigh sits right in the middle of all of it.
A move from Apex to Wake Forest can take as long as some of our trips from the coast. So when you call us about a Wake County move, the first thing we’ll ask is where exactly you’re starting and ending. It changes everything about how we plan your day.
All Ways Moving is a locally owned company from eastern North Carolina. Our offices are in Jacksonville, Greenville, New Bern, and Havelock, and our crews travel into Wake County every week.
Planning Around the School Calendar
Here’s something families who are new to the county don’t always know: not every Wake County school runs on a traditional calendar. Many are year-round, which means kids get breaks spread across the year instead of one long summer off.
That can actually work in your favor. If your kids are on a year-round track, a track-out break is a great time to move. Nobody misses class, and you’re not competing with every other family in the county for a June Saturday. If you’re on a traditional calendar, early June and the last couple of weeks before school starts in August are the busiest windows we see. Book those as far ahead as you can.
Moving In from Out of State
Lots of people land in Wake County with a job offer and a deadline. Often they fly into RDU while their household is still on a truck somewhere behind them.
If that’s you, we can help from either end. We’re licensed for interstate moves, so we can pick up your home in another state and bring it here. And if your new place isn’t ready when the truck shows up, we can hold everything in storage for a few days or a couple of months, then deliver when you’ve got the keys. Just keep in mind that our storage is short-term only. If you need something for six months, we’re not the right fit, and we’ll say so.
Multi-Stop and Office Moves
Not every move is house to house. We regularly pick up from a home and a storage unit on the same day, or drop part of a load at a relative’s place along the way. Tell us about every stop when we do your estimate, and we’ll plan the route and price it in up front.
Businesses across the county use us too. We move offices after hours and on weekends so Monday morning isn’t lost. Our crews disconnect and reconnect computers, and we install new office furniture, coordinating directly with your furniture vendor.
Pricing and Paperwork
Your estimate is free and lists every charge. It’s based on distance, the size of your household, the number of movers, and any extras like packing or crating. We hold your date with a small deposit and collect the balance after the job.
For credentials, we carry North Carolina license NCUC-2623 through the Utilities Commission for in-state household goods moves, plus USDOT 3995684 for interstate work. Both can be looked up by anyone, and we’d encourage you to do exactly that.
