Knightdale Movers Right Off Our Route
When our trucks head west from Greenville toward the Triangle, they come in on US-264 and I-87, and Knightdale is right there on that corridor. Of all the Wake County towns, it’s one of the most natural fits for a company like ours. No crosstown traffic, no long detour. Just a straight run down the highway.
We’re a locally owned mover with offices in Greenville, Jacksonville, New Bern, and Havelock. We don’t have a Knightdale storefront, but you’d never know it from how often we’re here.
Townhomes, Stairs, and the King Bed Question
Knightdale has a lot of townhomes. Many of them have three floors, a tight turn in the stairwell, and a primary bedroom at the very top. They’re great places to live. Moving into one takes some planning.
The question we get asked most: will my couch fit? Honestly, sometimes it won’t, at least not the way it came out of the old place. We’ll pull the legs, take doors off their hinges, and tilt it through at angles you wouldn’t believe. If something truly can’t make the turn, we’ll tell you before anything gets scraped, and we’ll talk through options with you.
A few things help a lot. Measure your stairwell and the tightest doorway before you buy new furniture. Expect your king bed frame to come apart and go back together upstairs. And if your HOA limits where a truck can park, find out early so we can bring the right size truck.
Renting in Knightdale
The apartment communities along Knightdale Boulevard and off Hodge Road turn over fast, especially in summer. If you’re renting, two dates matter: the day your lease ends and the day your move-out inspection happens. Book your move with a little cushion before the inspection, so you have time to clean and snap photos.
Moving yourself? We can still help. Plenty of renters rent their own U-Haul or Penske truck and hire us just for the loading. It costs less than a full move, and it keeps your furniture from sliding around back there for twenty miles.
Coming from Greenville?
We move a lot of people from Pitt County to eastern Wake. Usually it’s ECU grads taking their first Triangle job, or families who want to be closer to Raleigh without paying Raleigh prices. Since our Greenville office is right there, this is about as familiar a move as we make. We know both ends, and the road between them.
How It Works
Call or email, and we’ll set up a walkthrough of your place, in person or over video. You’ll get a free written estimate showing each charge. Prices depend on how much you’re moving, how far, how many movers it takes, and whether you want packing or extras. A small deposit locks in your date, and you pay the rest when we’re done.
We’re licensed in North Carolina for household moves (NCUC-2623) and federally for interstate moves (USDOT 3995684), and we carry insurance on our work.
